Pork And Apple Burgers
INGREDIENTS
600 grams minced pork
1 red onion, peeled and finely chopped
2 tblsp chopped fresh basil
1/4 cup Asian-style plum sauce
salt and pepper
2 large red apples, cored and sliced
1 tblsp butter
Toasted bagels or hamburger buns

Take an old-favourite flavour combination
METHOD
1. In a bowl, combine minced pork, red onion, basil and plum sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
2. With wet hands, shape into 4 to 5 patties.
3. Cook over a moderate to low heat on a greased BBQ plate or in a frying pan for 4-5 minutes each side until the burgers are golden.
4. Gently pan fry the sliced apples in butter until tender and golden, turning once.
5. Serve the pork burgers on toasted bagels topped with red apple slices.
