'Slow' is a Sensation
May 20th, 2010
Yet again I've been so amazed at the response to my book. 'Slow' is tearing off the shelves around New Zealand and Australia - thanks so much for your support! It just goes to show that the slow cooker is making a comeback. It's not just because it's winter, but also because you can use really economic cuts of meat. Cooking them slowly means they are tender and delicious. What's more you can use your slow cooker to create scrumptious and fantastically healthy dishes with lentils and pulses. On their own or added to your favourite meat they add texture and goodness. Puddings are also an absolute doddle - and there's nothing more loving and heartwarming than a delicious sticky pud on a cold wet winter's night.
If you want to grab a copy of Slow but can't make it into the bookstore click here to go to fishpond.co.nz – they'll see you right.
I'm on tour in Oz at the moment – and absolutely knackered, but loving the response to Slow.
Thanks again,
Allyson
